What ales are to the English and red wine is to the French, Kava is to Fiji.

Traditionally a cermonial drink kava is now part of daily life for many Fijians. Made from the crushed roots of a pepper plant, Kava is a mild sedative with a strong brew having the ability to numb the mouth.
